It’s hard to choose just one charity that serves veterans, as there are many wonderful organizations out there who do a variety of essential work for veterans. However, among the good, there are also some that do not do what they claim. Consider this as you decide how to give back.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

Wow it's awhile since I've updated! I hope everyone had an amazing holiday season! We did, I enjoyed spending time with the family. But now its 2012 and time to get back to work! I have a lot of surprises coming up for the 2012 season and can not wait to share them with my clients. I've grown so much since starting last year and have to give a BIG thanks to all my clients in 2011. Its been so wonderful working with you and your families!! Long Time, No See

Wow. its been awhile since I have blogged! So many great things have been happening that my blog was kind of pushed to the side for awhile! Today is the day I get caught up! Caught up on emails, phone messages, edits, updating the website, facebook and the BLOG. How is everyone? I'm hoping everyone is managing this awful heat we've been having! We've lived in the AC for far too long and the kids have been begging to get out. But as soon as they are out they are ready to come back in and drive me a little more crazy! Business has been GREAT! So many wonderful families, children and NEWBORNS! ahhh I love my newborns. They are so very precious, those first few weeks are so special and I love capturing those memories for families! Sessions are booking up fast so if you want a weekend session talk to me soon. As scary as it is to think holiday sessions, eeek, will be starting soon. I have a few plans on making mini sessions that will be PERFECT for Christmas cards, holiday cards, or if you want pictures done but don't need a full session!

I heart faces- Lets hear it for the boys!!

This week's theme is "Lets hear it for the boys". When I heard the theme I knew exactly which picture I was going to enter. This is BIG SHOES TO FILL and was part of daddy's Fathers Day gift. My son is forever playing with daddy's tools and boots and tries to "fix" things just like him! I love the little boy in my life, oh yea and the big one too. ;)

Can i just say how much I love this family!!!! Two very sweet girls with an amazing mommy and daddy. It was raining and yucky on the afternoon these were taken, but the sun came out just as we started and ended up being PERFECT! But of course I asked for sun on facebook so it had to happen right! Had such a great time and hope I have the pleasure working with you all again very soon!

Project Give Back

‎**Project Give-Back** Each month I will be accepting nominations for someone who deserves a free photo session. It can be you or someone else. Send me an email with WHY you or someone you know deserves a free session. It can be as simple as they need a "pick me up", someone going through really hard times, or suffering from medical conditions.

Nominations will be accepted from the 1st to the last day of the month and the winning nomination will be picked the first week of the next month! When we were going through hard times with Alaina we were given photographs from two very kind photographers. Those pictures are something I will cherish for the rest of my life. I Heart Faces- From a Distance

I heart faces does weekly photo challenges, this is my first week entering a photo. The challenge is "From a Distance". Yesterday I took the time to actually go out and photograph my own family. All these beautiful family pictures for other people and I had none of my own. ok ok I have TONS of pics but I wanted more "artistic" photographs. We set off to a local spot in town that I adore and I started snapping away. Why is it so much harder to get pictures of your own kids than other peoples? But we ended the day with several good pictures that I love!! Here is my entry:

Loving My New "Job"

If you can call it that. It is so much fun to work with families and be apart of their lives, even if its just for an hour. It's so much fun to be able to capture the true love between family members and those "silly" times too. Everyone I have worked with have just been amazing. I am so blessed to be able to do something I have such a passion for. So now I have to take time to thank everyone who has pushed me to start my business and that have kept my spirits high when I was questioning myself. You all know who you are. My first giveaway was a huge success and turned out to be the most wonderful time for me to read how much people appreciate the work I do. I have recieved some wonderful comments that have brought me to tears. It really helps to know I am on the right path. If I haven't worked with you yet and you have stopped here from my website, I hope I get a chance to work with you soon. To those that I have worked with I hope your sessions were as relaxing as possible and you enjoyed your time. That is my goal. I want us ALL to have fun. I want to run around and have an adventure with your children. So they have FUN getting their pictures taken because that is when you see the genuine smiles and their true personalities shine!
